You did not like PittGirl (we get it), you did not understand PittGirl, you have some issue with PittGirl. The rest of us who treasure her aren't really interested in your opinion or your continued attacks.

BurghBaby: Thanks for this post. I've been reading a few goodbyes, and I posted a little one of my own. She was the funniest damn Pittsburgh blogger out there. And, since you are in her company, that is really saying something.

ciao,
rpm

Re: A Thank You

Yea, I meant male more in a derogatory sense as opposed gender. Her using the Internet on company time is between her and her employer. You are assuming it would be a problem. I've been on management most of my adult life, I've always found if you let most ppl have a little free time here and there they are more productive. Regardless, why is it any of yourbusiness? If you don't like what you are reading you are free to not read. Now, at least in part because of you, none of us can. With that, I'm done giving you any more of my time.

Re: A Thank You

Nothing to be jealous of.

Scott usually is a guy's name. I understand about staying anonymous to a point, but when you are talking about how she would attack others, to me, there's not much to say about someone who attacks others abilities when you know nothing about them to begin with.

Re: A Thank You

That's not my point, as someone who has served in a management role many times in my career, I am disgusted at the gross misuse of company time, especially with those who use the internet freely while on company time. My company allows internet use, but it is very restricted, basically to only websites that have to do with our industry. I think more companies should do that.

I found her blog after reading Pittsburgh magazine, and was immediately taken by her pride in saying what she wants about people without knowing who she is. She puts down others physical appearance, but lacked the guts to show herself so she could be judged just as she judges. She would put down someone's athletic ability. She would "take on" others in the press and ridicule them, all the while those being "taken on"are all professionals at what they do, and have a name and face to associate with it.

Re: A Thank You

Jealous? Who cares?! She was entertaining. And you are obviously male if you can't understand a females desire to stay anon on line. Per the norm, one asshole has to ruin it for everyone else. Seriously, Scott R. Priester? You came over here just to continue to complain about her anonymity? What is your obsessive beef with her that drives you to go to other Pittsburgh-related blogs and nag on her even after she says "I quit." I get the feeling it's because your quest to feel important and validated by writing letters to Erie newspapers is failing miserably and this is the only way for you to get any face time to whatever your great cause must be. Congrats, troll.

PittGirl's anonymity was a breath of fresh air in the blogging realm. Not to mention, as a recent transplant to Pittsburgh, it was a way for me to personally get to know Pittsburgh gradually and with great humor. PG's unabashed love for the city was contagious and some of her silly nicknames for local celebs have been added to my own vernacular. May the Duke of Fug and LaMonte with his nut-hugging shorts dump a Zima in PittGirl's memory.

Re: A Thank You

LOL, now you tell me how many people you know who use the internet at work, and then tell me the percentage of those who ONLY use it during lunch. She wants people to be sympathetic of her being anonymous, but all the time blogging while she is on company time and trying to avoid being found out.
